Sommelier Pick of the Week: Failla 2016 Pinot Noir
This week, I have chosen a rich Pinot Noir from Sonoma Coast California, and with its gentle structure and fruit-filled palate, it is perfect for dinner. On the nose, this Pinot has notes of wild herbs and brambly fruit. As you begin to drink, notice the flavors of cherry and even a bit of fresh blueberry. Rounding out the wine is notes of baking spices and balsam, making this a lovely and complex bottle to share with friends.
Food pairing: Beef or game meat
